Alpacas of Troy is a family-run operation and home to about 15 alpacas and several others animals (Great Pyrenees, fainting goats, pigs, chickens, peacocks, and horses). We are located in eastern Missouri about one hour north of St. Louis, and primarily focus on the production of yarn, and felted and knitted products, all of which are made from the alpaca fiber grown and spun here on the farm.
Over the years we have come to realize that nature has created many natural balances that work hand in hand with each other. Alpaca are our primary herd animal on the farm, however, the herd of goats, pigs, chickens, horses, and a pack of guardian dogs all serve a very important role in the protection of our primary fluffy residents. What may seem as a random collection is in fact a fine example of nature’s balanced system.
Come visit us for a tour (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY) or see us at the farmer’s markets for your favorite Alpacas of Troy products.
