Alpaca Farm Day Camp will be an interactive experience for children ages 11 to 18 where they can learn basic farm techniques, animal management, and skills related to fiber production, such as fiber spinning, along with other uses of fiber. There will be arts and craft projects where children can learn how to create things using alpaca fiber. Mid-week we will take alpacas on a trail hike at Cuivre River State park. Upon completing the camp the child will have basic knowledge of how fiber is harvested, prepared, and produce a handmade product of their own. Animals on the farm include alpacas, horses, chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, and llamas.
There are two sessions to choose from June 5-9th, and June 19-23rd, so select the drop down and choose the one that works best for you.
